A Very Grave Matter is a collection of photographs and historical information of colonial cemeteries and gravestones of New England in southern Maine, southern New Hampshire and northeast Massachusetts. In addition, the site lists cemetery-related news, a poetry & epitaphs section, interesting historic facts about graves listed, and highlights of elaborate early colonial carvings.
The goal of this web site is to promote cemetery preservation and local New England history. All aspects of this web site, from concept to photography to development are produced by Soul Oyster Web Studios.
