Services: Search Engine Optimization
Search
Engine Optimization is an involved and constantly changing process.
Search Engines continuously change the rules by occasionally changing
their ranking algorithm,
dramatically effecting your ranking results so you could rank at
#1 one day, and #100 the next. New search engines and directories
are constantly being developed, introduced, merged with others,
and fading away.
The first step in a successful marketing campaign is targeting
your keyword phrases and optimizing your Web site with them. This
is done with Meta Tags, Title Tags, utilizing Alt attributes in
image tags, keyword phrases in your web content, and other techniques
that make your site "Search Engine Friendly" and easy
for search
engine spiders to read.
Is it worth it to "Submit your Website to 100,000
Search Engines!"?
Beware of false claims and techniques that seem to good to be
true. One in particular is of submitting your site to thousands
of search engines. If a list of these sites are available, look
through and see how many are unoperational. How many of these search
engines are in foreign language speaking countries? How many look
like they're even used? There are only a handlful of search engines
in the world that matter to be listed in and many of those can penalize
your site for the automated submission technique these claimants
use.
These automated submission programs that "submit your website
to 100,000 search engines!" are frowned upon by Google and
are in direct violation of Google's
Quality Guidelines, which state: "Don't use unauthorized
computer programs to submit pages. Such programs consume computing
resources and violate our terms of service."
Repeated submissions to search engines every month are not even
neccessary and can take 1-3 months to complete. The way Google
indexes your website is by following links from other sites to yours,
or "spidering".
Once at the linked page within your site, it then looks for other
links to follow which, if properly optimized, can lead it to index
every page in your site. The preferred method of manual submission
(as opposed to automated) is only recommended for new sites with
no or few incoming links.

What Does It Take To Succeed Online? by Kay King
The one basic you need to succeed in an online business is simply the decision... to... do.... it. Not to "try"....not to "see how it goes"....Almost anyone can be successful online....yet the vast majority of those who start an online business....or an affiliate reselling program....or a multi-level marketing company.....fail. They fail for two reasons...because they never get started....or because they quit.

Realistic SEO Expectations by Jill Whalen
Those who've been in the SEO biz for a number of years know how much more competitive it is these days as compared to a few years ago. The number of webpages indexed by search engines has doubled, tripled, and quadrupled in past years. On top of that, a good portion of site owners and webmasters know just enough SEO to be dangerous. In the golden age of SEO, the vast majority of websites hadn't given a thought to the search engines, and when they did, it was only to place some keywords in their Meta tags. (Which, incidentally, didn't help then either.) Those were the days when anyone who knew even the slightest bit about SEO could easily rank highly in all the major search engines, with very little effort. Even competitive areas were doable with just a little more work than their non-competitive counterparts.

Organisations need to optimise their search engine marketing (organic listings, general advertising and pay per click) to acquire more customers or members, sell more online and for many other reasons. There are nearly 1 billion people with Internet access. Almost 550 million searches are conducted worldwide on the Internet every day. A searcher is proactively requesting information. They are already looking for what you offer. They are a live prospect.

An SEO Glossary - Common SEO Terms Defined - by Glenn Murray
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has become an essential weapon in the arsenal of every online business. Unfortunately, for most business owners and marketing managers (and even many webmasters), it's also somewhat of an enigma. This is partly due to the fact that it's such a new and rapidly changing field, and partly due to the fact that SEO practitioners tend to speak in a language all of their own which, without translation, is virtually impenetrable to the layperson. This glossary seeks to remedy that situation, explaining specialist SEO terms in plain English...
